Du lịch sinh thái đang là xu hướng phát triển của ngành du lịch. Xã đảo Thạnh An (huyện Cần Giờ) là một trong những điểm du lịch sinh thái hấp dẫn trong những năm gần đây của thành phố Hồ Chí Minh. Mục tiêu của nghiên cứu này là phân tích các nhân tố ảnh hưởng đến sự phát triển du lịch sinh thái ở đảo Thạnh An. Qua kết quả phân tích nhân tố khám phá cho thấy có 6 nhân tố ảnh hưởng đến phát triển du lịch sinh thái tại đảo Thạnh An: (1) Chi phí dịch vụ, (2) Cơ sở vật chất – hạ tầng, (3) Con người, (4) An ninh trật tự, (5) Môi trường và tài nguyên thiên nhiên, và (6) Cảnh quan du lịch. Dựa trên kết quả nghiên cứu, một số giải pháp nhằm phát triển du lịch sinh thái tại đảo Thạnh An đã được đề xuất.
