Canxi là khoáng đa lượng chiếm tỷ lệ cao trong cơ thể con người. Canxi đóng nhiều vai trò chức năng trong cơ thể. Do đó, canxi đã trở thành mối quan tâm xã hội. Trong bài tổng quan này, chúng tôi giới thiệu về canxi như vai trò, tương tác của canxi xảy ra trong tế bào, giới thiệu về một số loại thực phẩm giàu canxi. Trong cơ thể người, quá trình hấp thu canxi được diễn ra dọc theo chiều dài của ruột non theo bốn con đường chính bao gồm: con đường có chất mang calbindin, con đường paracellular, con đường có thụ thể 1,25(OH)2 - vitamin D surface receptor (transcaltachia) và con đường túi vận chuyển.
