Tóm tắt

Quá trình xâm nhập mặn đã trở thành một thách thức toàn cầu khi gây nhiều tác động tiêu cực lên hệ sinh thái, suy giảm nguồn nước ngọt, ảnh hưởng đến sức khỏe và kìm hãm sự phát triển của nông nghiệp. Trước thực trạng này, việc nghiên cứu các giải pháp khử mặn hiệu quả là yêu cầu cấp bách hiện nay. Trong số các phương pháp đang được phát triển, khử mặn bằng vi tảo đang nhận được nhiều sự quan tâm nhờ hiệu quả cao, chi phí thấp và có tính bền vững với môi trường. Nghiên cứu này tổng hợp các cơ chế, yếu tố ảnh hưởng và ứng dụng thực tiễn của vi tảo (Chlorophyta) trong quá trình khử mặn. Vi tảo khử mặn bằng hai cơ chế chính là hấp thụ sinh học và tích lũy sinh học, trong đó hiệu suất xử lý phụ thuộc các yếu tố môi trường như pH, nhiệt độ, ánh sáng. Vi tảo có thể được nuôi cấy ở các hệ thống quang học khác nhau, trong đó hệ thống nuôi cấy mở được đánh giá cao nhờ khả năng mở rộng quy mô, giảm thiểu chi phí vận hành và tận dụng năng lượng mặt trời. Công nghệ sử dụng vi tảo khử mặn giúp góp phần giải quyết vấn đề về môi trường, bảo vệ cân bằng sinh thái và hướng đến mục tiêu phát triển bền vững.
