Nghiên cứu này được thực hiện nhằm đánh giá chất lượng nước, tốc độ tăng trưởng, tỷ lệ sống của cua giống và mật độ vi khuẩn Vibrio sp. khi sử dụng probiotic (Vibrotech) ở các phương pháp khác nhau bao gồm: chỉ cho vào nước (AW), cho vào nước kết hợp trộn vào cho ăn (AW - AF), chỉ trộn vào thức ăn (AF) và nghiệm thức không sử dụng probiotic làm đối chứng (CT). Sau 30 ngày ương kết quả cho thấy, probiotic giúp cải thiện chất lượng nước, tốc độ tăng trưởng, tỷ lệ sống của cua giống và làm giảm mật độ Vibrio sp. so với nhóm đối chứng (P < 0,05). Trong đó, kết quả tốt nhất về tốc độ tăng trưởng đặc trưng về chiều dài (5,60%/ngày), tỷ lệ sống (43,44%) và mật độ Vibrio sp. tổng số trong ruột cua (3,4 x 104 CFU/g) được tìm thấy ở nghiệm thức AW - AF. Kết quả của nghiên cứu khuyến cáo nên bổ sung probiotic vào nước kết hợp trộn vào thức ăn trong ương cua giống để cải thiện chất lượng nước, nâng cao tốc độ tăng trưởng, tỷ lệ sống và hạn chế mầm bệnh do Vibiro sp. gây ra.
